General informationEdit

Korea (South Korea), AKA the Republic of Korea (대한민국 - 大韓民國) is a small country located just east of China, west of Japan, and to the south of North Korea. The North-South Korean border (AKA the DMZ or demilitarized zone) is located roughly along the 38th parallel between the two countries according to the armistice signed after the Korean War.

Since the late 1990s Korea has had an increasingly larger number of English teachers and other foreigners in the country. The Korean government expects to have one foreign teacher in each public school by 2009, and the number is only expected to increase.
