Jeollanam-do

Jeollanam-do (전라남도 - 全羅南道), known as South Jeolla province in English, is located on the southwestern corner of the Korean peninsula. It covers an area of 11,858 km² and has population of 1,994,287. It's capital is Gwangju, although Gwangju itself is administered by its own municipal Government.

Jeollanam-do is comprised of 7 cities (si: 시 - 市) - Gwangju, Mokpo, Suncheon, Yeosu, Muan, Gwangyang and Naju; and 17 counties (gun: 군 - 郡).
