Dokdo
From Korea
Dokdo (독도, 獨島) is the small island (actually two main islands) about 150m long that Korea owns and Japan claims. The Japanese prefecture of Shimane (島根) established a day called 'Takeshima Day' in February (March?) 2005 which set off a wild burst of anti-Japanese sentiment in Korea.
This page will also be used to present the Korean perspective on Dokdo. For the Japanese perspective, see takeshima.
